FreeBASIC Easy Linux Installer

By sir_mud - Posted on 16 August 2010

There is some talk of an easy installer for FreeBASIC on Linux on the FreeBASIC Forums so I whipped this up.

The FreeBASIC Easy Linux Installer!

Download here: freebasic-0.21.1-setup.run @ jafile.com (6.3M)

This is the standalone version of the compiler so the external dependencies are reduced. Let me know if somebody wants the non-standalone version and I will make an installer for that as well.

On Ubuntu systems this will automatically install all the necessary packages for development. Other Distributions will get a banner listing the required packages.

Requires root permission to install.

Here's a video describing what to do to run this file: Install .run on Linux
